The collusion between nature and science.
About the Artist
Naomi Andrée
Campbell
Naomi Andrée Campbell is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist recognized for her work that explores sense and perception, combining art and science through a wide spectrum of studio and new media art. Her elegant installations and watercolors draw attention to and challenge the relationship between the body and its environment drawing on her background in science and art. The installations reflect current environmental issues affecting the body including food/water sustainability brought on through climate change (see Projects). The paintings are an investigation of liminal spaces as the brain processes the world around it. Challenging the ideas of creativity, learning and knowledge the work brings into question social and individual identity, expressed through malleable forms of space and time, through universal ideas of loss, meaning and memory.
